1958 - 1958 UK Supplied RHD Ragtop Beetle - £1,500.00
The time has come for me to accept that I'm never going to have the cash to actually get this car back on the road so it's now officially up for sale.
The car is very much a project but it's a very achievable one.
Basically, the car will need repairs to the heater channels (running board mounts and bottom panel mainly. Inner tubing is fine as are the tops of the channels), small repairs to the front inner wings, the return edge along rear inner wings and the bumper mounts. Apart from that it all seems pretty good and has only had a few repairs done to it in its life. It's kind of the perfect starting point really.
I'm pretty sure that everything is there that would be required to rebuild the car although it is pretty stripped at the minute (the way I bought it), however I wouldn't doubt that there's going to be a few bits missing here and there.
Only other thing is that one front brake drum has a notch cut into it because it was locked on when we tried to move it and couldn't get it to slacken off. It turns freely now. Also, I'm not 100% sure whether or not the wings are the originals and as far as I remember it doesn't have a 4 tab bonnet.
The interior that comes with it is the original one with original covers and is in excellent condition!
If you know anything about production figures you'll know just how rare this car is. It is an original UK supplied RHD Golde ragtop Deluxe. There aren't many (that I'm aware) that are rarer. It's was originally black too.
The best idea is to come look at it if you're interested so you can assess it for yourselves.
I would be VERY disappointed if someone cut this car up for parts!
