I've seen the "bigger picture" John and it's not too clever.
There is a lot of rust in this car and it's certainly not 99% original.
I'll PASS.

What do you think about the rear window ??
I thought the early cars had not those 5 pressings below the window??

Does anyone have the numbers from the car? Chassis, Body, and Engine? I have a Nov 47 and
am almost certain it has the 5 pressings.

Hi Mike,

I just thought tht those 5 pressings would post48 ! But I can be wrong on that !

I have here a rear clip with only one pressing in the midlle from the windows, what year was that way of pressing ended then?? I thought that was a correct pre 48 clip, but maybe its even older??

I guess I need to look at my 47 and Feb 49 to see which was which. I may have them mixed up in my mind.

47 should have 5-ribs just like this one has. Your single center pressing rear clip - Guido - is a normal Split pressing.

5 ribs appeared up until early 1948 – and to me the most desirable type split to own. The more common 3 ribs from then on to the oval window :wink:

I've seen a few images of the car now George, makes me appreciate my '47 a lot more – hang on to your cabrio :!:
