Just tried it again and it comes up with an error message.

Sorry, this username or password is not valid.

I have only just received the password today, by resetting it, so something is wrong!!

Oh, I never knew that.. I thought they made a handful and they were really rare. But then I don't pay much attention to Ghia's, they're not really real VW's...

They all came out of the factory LHD...apparently there were companies offering to convert them from back in the day.

So when did VW dealers start officially selling KGs in the UK?
It's hard to say what my girlfriend does for a living...

August 1959 (1960 Model) I believe. An interesting point about the Lowlight is that the front baulkhead had the pressings for the RHD set-up but never used. It was quite a straightforward conversion job except for chopping and rewelding the dash in the RHD configuration.

Russ (I'm assuming that's you!),

How's the '55 coming along? Are we likely to get to see it this year?

Rich.

You weren't the only one. Derek had been dithering for years over whether to fit a fully restored Judson Kit to his KG 'Vert. He even had a replacement decklid sprayed to match with a Judson Scoop but someone convinced him that if he fitted the blower his 30hp would explode into little pieces.

I tried on several occasions to email him to ask if he wanted to sell his car but the emails kept on bouncing. When I finally got in contact he'd sold it to someone who recognised the car's true potential and slammed it and fitted a big engine.

This should now be fixed, but you'll have to update your password again (sorry). The classifieds & forum were out of sync. PM me if you still have problems and I'll get it sorted.

Thanks.
