1967 - Restored 1300/1500 Pierburg 'Square Top' fuel pumps - Ongoing advert - £110

Freshly restored 1300/1500 Pierburg 'square top' fuel pumps.

I currently have one finished which is undated.

Restored by myself in my home workshop, the pumps are fully stripped down, cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner before being dried and gently media blasted with a fine crushed glass media. The mating surfaces are then faced to ensure they are flat. It then goes back into the ultrasonic cleaner before being dried and blown through with compressed air. The pumps are then rebuilt using an Effbe diaphragm (Original Equipment supplier to VW), the hardware has been cleaned, stripped of any existing zinc coating and then re zinc plated. The inlet tubes are removed and re-set with Loctite 648.

The pumps are then bench tested to ensure the diaphragm is working, the valves are seated correctly and pressure is correct.
