I have a copy of The british magazine "safer motering" from November 1974 and in the back is the following advertisment:

"1950 VW CABRIOLET with full documented history. This is one of the very few remaining prototypes from which the Karmann convertible was later evolved.
Finished in original blue and white, with blue interior. A very rare and desirable four-seater car in good order. Offers between £800 and £850 considered.
Telephone Mr de Strayter 01 404 9511 or 01 505 4735 evenings to view."

The picture with the advert is of a UK registered two-tone Hebmuller which looks to be the same one pictured in Lindsays Porters' 1986 VW Restoration manual, from memory I think the registration number was VXY 41.

I was just curious to know if anyone knows what became of this car?
