Hi folks,
here is my 56 beetle convertible.
I am the 3rd registered owner.
That car was purchased new on Jan 21 1956 by an US army sergent in Germany who shipped it back in US Texas after his service in Europe.
That car was owned by that same person till 2008 and stood all its live in Dallas area.
The Guy I purchased it from kept it during 2 years and lived in Texas as well.
The car is now where I live in Canada Quebec City.

With the car came all of the original papers since new including bill of sale, shipping form, owner manual, service manual, and maintenance notes along the years:

Since I got the car I have worked on it to prepare it for the inspection that I will pass next Monday.
I cross the finger that all goes well, I would like to get a chance to drive it with the top open before the end of the summer :-)

Good luck. I must say I do prefer the wide whites.

Great !! my inspection was cleared today with no issue, I will get my registration plate from Quebec tomorrow.
