Hi guys, I’m in the process of buying and early ribbed door 55. It’s currently fitted with later bucket/race seats up front. I’m told that there are no seat rails on the pan and would like to clarify this. Are 55 seats bolted to the floor or should there be floor rails on the pan? Would they be welded on or bolted on?

I think it depends whether or not it's a 'Standard' (no chrome side trim, less interior headlining material etc.) - these had the seats bolted down to the floor. If it's not a Standard then it would have seat rails welded to the floor.
