How do you go about fitting seat belts or a harness to a 62 beetle? Just got it, not sure if mounts are fitted this early! :)

From what I understand the belt mounts where put into Beetles in 1962. However, my Ghia is an early 61 and has factory belt mounts. If you can get to the tunnel just about at the rear of the front seat you should see a welded in bolt. If its there you got mounts. The early mounts where metric but VW installed US standard size threads after 1965. well you sit in the seat pull the belt across you shoulder and click it in the clicker :) if you ned som mor help just arsk sorry had one to many Coopers (that beer)
