It's fairly easy. switches and wiring is all ok to leave. you will obviously need to change bulbs, dynamo, regulator, battery, indicatior relay, wipers, horn and starter, but for the starter you will possibly need to change your flywheel as well. However you may be lucky as a 67 may be a wierd 6v started with 12 teeth. (not sure on this) For the wiper motor KK, do voltage drop relays. Speak to Julian, https://www.karmannkonnection.com Just a quick one. I still run 6 Volt and have never had any issues, you can get 6V halogen bulbs that are bright, and as long as everything is clean and well earthed, there is no reason why you need to spend a lot of money, possible getting over any issues you have. Only one small issue is no sterio. Good luck

Great, thanks for your help-doesn't sound too bad. Is there a way of getting a 12volt stereo to work on 6volt or.....?? That could save alot of trouble??!

Who does 6V Halogens!? I need them!! I normally just run around with high beam on and never get flashed by anyone. 6v electrics are generally fine. If it all works, just be grateful and leave it alone.
Who does 6V Halogens!? I need them!!
Status-vw parts do them and I'm sure others like KK too. You should be able to get them in Germany somewhere. https://www.status-vw.co.uk/shop/en-gb/dept_82.html
