with full photographic build history backed up with a huge book of bills and invoices totalling over 30 thousand pounds invested. A lot of money on a beetle you might say but as you can clearly see in the photos everything and I mean everything is brand new. In fact its easier and quicker to say what isn't new or restored...which is the long shift rod inside the tunnel that's it. Here is a extensive list of what this potential show stopper has..
Full body off restoration with fully painted underside. Two new correct floor pan halfs, new custom adjustable front beam, new rear spring plates and covers, all suspension and chassis components powder coated black, new spax gas adjust shocks all round, Wilwood disc brakes on both front and back, new dual circuit brakes and new copper brake lines, new BFG stainless steel flexible brake lines, new fuel line front to back Mid gearbox mount, Urethane gearbox bushes all round including shifter couplings, Lowered one spline on the rear and adjustable front beam, rebuilt stearing box, new track rod arm and ends, new steering damper, new fuel tank and twin in line filters, external auxiliary jump connectors, new lights front and rear with Porsche 911 headlamp glass and original snowflake rear lenses, all new customs wiring throughout, new glass including one piece door glass and all new rubber seals throughout, rebuilt 1500 cogbox gearbox on stock shifter, new starter motor,new cables throughout, new build 1600cc engine by Andy Pierce painted and detailed with tuck away exhaust scavenger exhaust, new 15" Sprintstar alloys and tyres all round. This is by no means a complete list just what I can remember.
The body is as straight as a die being sandblasted and and welding repairs carried out I would say its in better condition now than any beetle ever to leave the factory...its that good. The doors are suicide style with hidden hinges and bear claw catches with an additional lock for safety reasons. The doors pop on remote as the handles are shaved off as are the bonnet and boot handles these again have separate remote catches. Custom hex bar T bar bumpers.
The interior doesn't have a carpet because the floorpans are that clean you could eat your dinner off them it seems a shame to cover them up. Rare original I believe EMPI front seats and a stock rear seat. Full compliment of Autometer pro comp gauges feature which are speedo, tach, oil temp and oil pressure mounted on the floor and custom dash along with a sparco suede steering wheel and alloy door cards. It also has an original fully working Goldie sunroof not a copy with the correct Goldie sunroof handle. I have the original sunroof inner lining just not fitted it yet.
Check out the photos you wont find a cleaner more thoroughly restored example available. This is a car that will last another 50 odd years easily which needs absolutely nothing spending on it.
The car has never been to a UK show and will certainly be a show stopper as you can see.
Advertised at a sensible price which when you look at others available and there condition makes this a seem a relative bargain though I am open to sensible offers. Please don't waste my time and yours with silly low ball offers if you have read the full description you know what this vehicle is worth and its rarity.
