Lets make a overview of all the existing Dannenhauer & Stauss.

From some D&S owners I heart that they have a list of known cars. Currently 18 examples are known of with 13 of them are drivable/restored.

The wish of a lot of owner is to remain anonymous, what is logical. I respect this wish, so will provide no names, but only the country were the car is located.

In hessisch 2005 there were two D&S project cars.

What happened to the red one?
Is that now car with licence SE 04438 or SE BJ53H?

This pictured projectcar is the one that was restored, became brown and won a/the price at the latest HO meeting. A 4 year translation that is pretty impressive.

This might be a stupid question, but are they made of steel? I had always assumed they were aluminium like the Rometsch, but from that photo it looks like it has rust holes...

In this case you were right :wink: with the rust holes...it is indeed made of steel.

Rometsch, ghia angle, denzel and Drews were made of Alu as far as I know.Rest is steel.

I am not sure. I have tried with a magnified iron on 5 of them in my garage and none of them could hold the magnet....:shock:

Just kidding. No clue on them. At least one or two of them are made in iron.....the pick-ups.

That one is restored by Matthias at Grundmann's place and is in the collection . Wearing a spranklin silver coat...

For the record (from Paolo): Beutlers were built as Rometsches: Simple sheet metal steel structure, with aluminium outer skin.

let's not forget to include the forerunner of the Dannenhauer and Stauss... otherwise known as the Auto Technic

This was one of the four cars I couldn't find pictures from on the internet. It was also the only car I dodn't know the year. Now I know it is a 1953 build.

I updated the list in my first post.
