For sale by auction is a very rare used 1960 hardback edition of 'Making The Volkswagen Go!' by Henry Elfrink. 

Here we have the very rare and highly sought after book - 'Making the Volkswagen go!' by Henry Elfrink in very good condition for its age. There is a 'Motor Books & Accessories' sticker on the lower inside front cover and a sticker applied by the original owner 'P.W.R Lloyd of Cardif' at the top of one of the blank pages at the beginning of the book. 

This is accepted as the bible of 1950's air cooled competition engineering. Inside you'll find all the trick mods from all the period speed manufacturers like Empi, Okrasa, Dietz and more. Full details on supercharging, decambering, flowing cylinder heads, Mallory dual point ignitions, camber compensators, multi-carb modifications, jetting, high lift cams and every other component of VW air cooled tuning are covered in great detail. 223 page hardback, comprehensively illustrated throughout with illustrations and black & white photos and a fascinating read.
