Hebmuller Question

Everybody agrees when I say a standard split beetle was used to make a Hebmuller?
But where was the horn fitted then? :?
Did Hebmuller use the support of a Karman Cabriolet?
Who can tell? :?: :?: :?:

Hi ET,
Hebmueller used the same part as Volkswagen did on later de luxe (export) beetles. The horn was mounted under the front fender. As far as I have investigated, Hebmuller did not use complete beetles for conversion but started from single parts and a fully assembled chassis.

Greetings
Dirk

P.S.: I own some original pics and a parts list from Hebmuller (1949) that show every single part of the car. I tried to attach a pic of the parts list, but it seems to be not that easy?

Hi ET, most of the hebs have the horn on the regular place as original Beetles.
However, there was a very expensive option availleble on Hebmullers.
I have included a pict , special for you.
All you have to do is bolt the body on the floorpan with an 180° turn.... .
You drive as fast backwards as a normal beetle and you can honk on every streetcorner.

Greetings:beer:

Working on the car was great but own one would be the best !My email [email protected]

Peter , please delete that picture, That Heb looks like crap !

Et, Be aware of the bad mushrooms8) ,
Some of them can give you a delirium....
Others have the hours[-x on it and not KM.

I am sure guido gave you the correct one, with Offcenter clamp:idea: .
If you use a normal Pilzenluftfilter, you scratch the paint.

Greetings.

I hear that the best "magic" mushrooms grow in the hills of Big Sur California... and they use pigs to find them. These mushrooms do not really clean the air... but they do turn the air pretty colors and make you really laugh a lot and then make you very hungry. With enough mushrooms your bodywork may look wavy even if it is really straight... so don't blame Guido if the car looks wavy.... it is just the mushroom.

IMPORTANT>>> Mushrooms are only free if you are a young hot girl... since you are not a young hot girl... than I would be very careful around Guido if he starts getting too friendly.

[-x I'm not a drug dealer !
The car looks better and better every day IMO( but Who am I)
Today I did the rear fender beading ( or how do you call that) We could not find decent repro's so we made them in the garage ! And I have to say they are very close to the originals ! ( I have seen the originals today on a never restored car)
Tomorrow I'll go to the VINTAGE Show in Lier !
I hope to finish the heb Next week, so it can go to Germany for a new roof and interior !
But ET should take a ensurance on that Heb before I put in on my trailer[-x I don't like to be responsable if something go's wrong on the German Autobahn !:?

Accident happend to Opa's garage!!!

Yesterday when we were working to a 1303 cabrio at Opa's garage
(the Hebmuller is on a hold now, waiting for correct window scrapers)
a little pussycat brought us a visit!
We weren't paying much attention to the cat but she managed to drink some gasoline!!!
After doing this the cat jumped up and down the table, up and down the cars!!!
Finally she jumped into a curtain and when she reached the top she hung there in the curtain to fall on the floor after half a minute!!!!
And it was just a nice inocent young pussy, shame!!!
