October 2019 marks 20 years of pre67vw! Where did the time go? 20 years is quite a long time, a lot of things about our VW hobby have changed in that time, mostly the price of cars and parts!

20 years ago Google was only a year old and the search engine of choice was Alta-Vista. Searching around the Internet, there was a lack of good VW content, especially the kinds of cars I was interested in. So I decided to start a website. The site became more popular than I ever imagined it would do, it always amazes me when talking to VW enthusiasts that they often know the site and know my name.

Over the years, new technology has come along - online videos, Facebook, Instagram, etc. and we have done our best to embrace each one and used these new channels to spread the word about Vintage VW's. Facebook has become one of the most popular websites in the world and it's been very tough at times to keep the enthusiasm for pre67vw alive, especially when you see all the cool stuff posted there instead of here. Alta-Vista no longer exists, because everyone moved over to Google and there have definitely been times when I've thought about closing pre67vw because of Facebook. But for now, we're still here, still posting photos and making videos.
