Finally - something to report:
In relation to the Bremen auto show last week, I went to Hessisch to pick up the windshield that never made it to the glass maker on its own... Thanks for loaning this to the Beeskow-community the Grundmanns!

This is an original SEKURIT-marked windshield original to the Beeskow and after picking it up myself, I brought it to the specialist glass maker in Bielefeld. It is now in his secure hands. This guy has made low volume windshields for Ferraris and Lamborghinis and also supplies everything that Stoddard sells for 356s. Good stuff in other words.
The glass maker with the recently finished windhsield for the Lawrence model:

The rack of all types 356 windhsields:

So - the status is now as follows:
- Next week I get a firm quotation of a) tool cost and b) piece cost (Estimates: a) 1500EUR, b) 250EUR)
- Initial once in a lifetime order of 15 windhsields will be finished mid-May 2009
- This is certified, high quality laminated "proper" glass
- 5.7 mm thick
- Finished edges, ready to innstall
- We plan for delivery of everyhting direct via mail or at Hessisch meet (shipping not included)
BUT - one issue: Markings...
- Me being in Norway outside the EU I prefer NO markings at all and I get away with it no problem
- The supplier and German customers say that there is NO way to get "MOT" or "TUV"-appooval without the "E"-marking even on an oldtimer like this
- One issue: How is this in the USA? Do you north americans prefer no marking, E-marking or do you need "DOT"-markings??
- We are trying to sort a compromise in the form of only the "E"-marking and the number....but NO brand name. Below is a picture of the standard markings which are also on all Stoddard-sold 356 windows.

SO: Please re-confirm your orders....and this is FINALL CALL to sign up for this once in alifetime chance. And please also comment on the marking-question.
