I considered going this year, but have just sold my 'van' so I don't think I'll bother crossing the North/South border. I went to the first one in 1996 (?) but haven't been since.

Dont bother you will be very disappointed. Its become the Bugjam of van shows..

I went to the first ones which were great, then about 2 years ago and I was shocked and decided never to go again. Even O didnt trade there this year for the first time. Too many thefts previously for one. Pity though as I love Malvern. But I dont like that Holloway bloke one bit.

Like all long running shows eventually, its become a victim of its own success. Even the SSVC decided to rebel this year, Bloody expensive too, visitor or trader.

I don't know whether this year was any different to previous years but there was no public access to the traders area on the Friday. Other than the food and entertainment areas, the rest of the trading area was fenced off and appeared to be suitably marshalled. On the Saturday they called "time" (to leave the trading area) at 6PM and closed it off once more until 9AM Sunday.

I was clearing out some junk today and found a trophy I had won for 'Best of Show' (Beetle) at Vanfest in 1998. I thought I'd only been once, to one of the earlier Vanfest shows a few years before, but evidently I must have attended in '98 as well.

I can't even remember which car it was that won!
