finally ticking those little detain jobs off the list i wanted to do.

managed to locate some NOS 67 only door window winders and handles
UserPostedImage

and reproduced the rear window sticker that was on it and in pieces when i first saw the car years ago,
UserPostedImage

also finally found the correct light grey head proof paint for the exhaust and heat exchangers, so those got repainted also.

after a few teething problems i'd had, i thought a trip to Blenheim Palace classic car show would be a good test for it. all seems ok now.

heres a pic i snapped on the way back, the cottage used to belong to my girlfriends gran.

Ive been doing a little more refining........finally got some high polished pressed ali number plates, as per original, so i can bin those nasty plastic letter ones....

restored the jack, and polished up a few bits and bobs on the engine.

oh and got myself a crossply spare tyre, the other 4 road tyres will be fitted next week.

also replacing one of the side window rubbers, as despite it being original it was cracked in one of the corners.

pics at the weekend when its light!

plans over xmas is for a few chrome items to hit the tank and be redone, along with repainting the fuel tank and fettling a few bits of paint on the exterior
