Just spotted it's for sale :wink: (only the trailer, not the car). Richard Hausmann seems to be a nice person, I spoke to him at the Oberwolfach show last year and he generously gave me a copy of his book & DVD detailing his overland trip from Germany to China in one of his split Beetles, along with 2 or 3 other vintage VWs. A shame (for me) the book is in German, but the pictures are good! :smile:

It was parked at Chirk Airfield for a few weeks last month, so probably something to do with either that "Wrigley's Aircooled" lot or possibly someone at Clwyd Breakers in Ruabon. I didn't find out the story or where it's gone, I was too busy looking for records and stuff... It's got a CJ plate so was probably a fairly local vehicle.
