...but sunroof fitted later in the 60s so not an original factory-fitted Standard sunroof model. A bit expensive in my view.

What about Owen / Annas split, not a standard but looks great, in my all time fave colour too underneath (the medium brown).

I'd probably consider selling my 52 medium blue standard split, but not sure yet.
You can find photos on thesamba.com if you search for my nick, it's the same like here.

We know it's not worth the money Kev.
Asking price is actually 300K in $,still too much, but i was asking a person his opinion to it's value.  kdf4.jpg You have insufficient rights to see the content.

I've seen it 3 weeks ago, it's an older restauration but started from a solid car.
Not 100% correct, but pretty close.

How many 1940s bugs are in this country?
The oldest I ever saw belonged to an old man who had a small private car museum that Dad new. The seats were with handrails like busses have. The guy died and his cars were auctioned by southerbys. Dad took me along to the auction at brooklands where there was some fool who kept his hand up all the way through the bidding and so paid silly money for the car which had engine play that was in inches and had a hole underneath. A long time ago it was before I went to uni. Our 56 bug we bought this year and for less money than this guy paid for the split is a much better car and worth a lot more.So this guy did dad a favour.
