That's a good turn out of TypeIIs for sure. Interesting to note that the 1963 Beetle although lowered, has a set of rear wheel covers, or fender skirts as the Americans would call them. Although not an official item, I thought that they were only available as an after market item during the late 1940s - 1950s, so are incorrect on a large-window Beetle.

I'm aware of course that there are reproduction ones in either steel or fibreglass available today, Jon has them on the '56.

Think some one makes fiberglass skirts for later bugs (1303s) included. Preferd the grooved bumper on the blue rat behind it.
