Back in the early '90's I owned KSG 780, which according to data I had was produced early in July 1953,and built before RTC 296. It might well have been one of the first cars imported by the fledgling VW Motors of Great Britain.
What I bought was a decent body on it's original and restorable chassis. Sadly all the valuable bits had gone over the years, although the original tan leatherette interior was still there, and in very good condition. Over the years I had it, I managed to collect most of the missing parts, but eventually had to sell due to domestic life getting in the way. It went to Swansea and was to be restored. I've recently learned that it's changed hands, and lost it's registration, but I believe the car itself is still around.
Can anyone on here shed any more light on this?

Dear Julian

Do you still own LOW 514, I used to own it for many years as was the owner that drove it to RAF Wyton. I guess I may have been the last to MOT it and drive it to work.
