In may of 1938, the first stone of the big Volkswagen factory was set in a field close to Fallersleben - a few weeks later, the "Stadt des KDF-Wagen" was foundet. 70 years ago - good reason to held a big aircooled Volkswagen meeting. And maybe the last time to meet people, who where there and can talk about the time.

Our plan is to have a nice party with a lot of stuff which might be interesting for the real VW-Freaks. Like a guided factory tour, like a guided tour to the famous "Bunker" - a remorial place for the polish forced workers during the war. Of cause a big swapmeet, of cause cold beer and german Bratwurst. Certainly we will celebrate a big tend party and for all people, who owns or wants to see original Schwimmwagen in action - the big lake close to the exibitionfield is waiting...

On wendsday, just after the show, we will start the roadtrip from Wolfsburg to Lavenham - but that`s another story...

If you organize a meeting, it helps a lot if the participants have signed in before in the registrationlist. Thats the reason why we start the online-registration in the next week. Since a few hours, the online-registration for the Wolfsburg event has been started.

For the event, we have organized some nice attractions which are not ragular at other events.

On Friday, the participants have the chance to get a guided factory tour through the Volkswagenwerk - in german and in english language. On saturday, there is also a guidet tour through the bunker in English - and over the weekend different tours in german language.

All participants will get a free entrance in the Stiftung AutoMuseum of Volkswagen - and if you will come in your own Schwimmwagen, you are allowed to swim next to the Volkswagen factory on the Mittellandkanal and the Alersee.

Some very interesting people of the vintage Volkswagen and Porsche history will come. Like Paul-Ernst Straehle, who won the 1954 Mille Miglia - in his 1948 Ex-CCG Split window beetle. Whith his age of 80 years he will tell the story of his intersting life.



Or Kurt Ahrens, a Formular one Racing driver who won together with Jo Siffert the first race in a Porsche 917 at the Salzburgring.

After a couple of month of organization, our Wolfsburg VW meeting comes clother and clother. Factory tour @ Volkswagen, Schwimmwagen in the Water and a large swap meet sounds interesting. But what do you think about a vintage ofroad terrain with KDF cars, 181 and Kettenkrad. Inclusive a ride of the last existing 4-wheel-drive Baywindow bus next to an original Volkswagen Paris-Dakar Offroad car? Historical report about the beginning of Volkswagen whith original colored photos? A line-up of round about 10 Schwimmwagen in front of the Volkswagen factory. Certainly in the water.

Paul Ernst Strähle will talk about his time as a Volkswagen dealer in the late 1940s - and about his famous ride in his 1948 beetle at the 1954 Mille Miglia. Certainly next to his beetle.

You can meet Kurt Ahrens, the first official 917 Pilot in its first ride at the Salzburg Ring. Also if you know Steve McQueens "Le Mans" - you can see him in his Porsche 917.

You ca see 65 years Volkswagen on wheels,you can meet Volkswagen-friends of actually 19 Nations or win a real 1986 Celebration-bug. You all are welcome home!
