Hi everyone, after nearly a month of deliberation and sleepless nights. i can now say my 1949 bug is as of this evening for sale!

Well congrats Lee, I think you have got that car a gigantic step nearer to being back on the road again and at record speed without sacrificing workmanship.
And let me congratulate you, and say your wife is beautiful! and that good women are hard to find. ( I should know :wink: :D)

Its really cutting me up this week, i have two people very interested in the car and last time i looked 10 watchers on flea bay.
Its finally dawned on me that the car is going, i know i'll regret it, ive regretted every car ive ever sold. but such is life.

god knows what my next project will be, im putting all my energy into the business right now, hence one of the reasons the cars going as i want more capital.

Well as of 19:00 hrs tonight the 49 is SOLD!!!

Whats even worse is its got to sit in my gararge for a week and a half untill its goes to its new home!!

Though i do get some relief that the chap who bought it is going to carry on where i have left it. So this little car should still end up as beautiful as id hoped. i banged on about the fact he must do it bordeaux red as its the original colour and rare on a standard! so hope he decided to do this.

I wont tell you what it sold for i'll let him tell you when he posts here, but it was pretty close to the asking price, so im happy (ish) as i can be with out a 49!

Well once again thanks to everyone for their help and friendship. I'll still be at the lavenham show. may meet up with my friend who has a kubel (the one who sold me the 49!).
