Might be able to answer this one.:d

The lines with 26 & 27 etc are called 'pitches', you have an operator in each pitch, basically a worker. His job is to fit so many components to the car in the time it enters his pitch to the time it leaves.( These are in the racks to the side.) Then it goes into the next pitch where the next man fit his components.

Well say for example that the car in in his pitch for a minute, so he has a minute to fit everything before it enters the next persons pitch. Imagine that the Cabrio has more things fitted than the Ghia, (Being a more luxurious car)....Sorry John  So it may take 65 seconds to fit everything whereas the Ghia make take 55 seconds to fit everything. So by alternating them it means the worker can fit all the bits in the llocated time. i.e 65" & 55" =120 = 2 minutes to do 2 cars. Therefore a minute each which meets his target time.

Well that's how we do it......... hope this makes sense

A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day.
