Does anyone have for sale, or know where I might aquire an OT crankshaft pulley for my 30hp motor? what were the OT pulleys originally used on, or were they an aftermarket item?

Hi Ian!

Sorry, but the OT pulleys are stock for early 356 engines and without modification not to use on a stock 30 horse crank.

Two possibilities: look for a early 356 crank with 74mm and make it a stroker engine ;-)

or try to find an OT and let it modify to fit an stock bug crank.

My OT is modified by Wolfgang from brezelgarage and andih (oval56).



Try to contact them, perhaps they do it for you....

The OT pulleys that where on the Pre A Porsches that used the 2 piece engine case fits a 30 hp crank without any modification. The later (and smaller) pulleys that where in the 3 piece cases needs modification as Thomas wrote but they will also make your engine run hotter and your generator will make less power........
