I've just got around to reading my VW Elite magazine from Bob Shaill, only to find it's the last...? The old IVVM's were fantastic, really hardcore vintage material. The print quality of the Elite mag wasn't as good, but it was still very interesting.

I have never read any Elite! but I love all his old stuff. It is great just how much education he has given us all over the years :d
But I can appreciate that it is a lot of work.

I am sad to admit I stopped subscribing to it at least a year ago, probably two. Like you I think the IVVMs were great but the VW Elite mag was well overpriced for what it was. Also the advent of the internet has really made so much more vintage content available I guess most magazines days are numbered.

Same here Kev.
Bob's previous magazines were top notch.
But i felt Elite was a little over priced for it's content.
Unfortunately by the time the magazine came out pretty much all the news side of the magazine had been viewed via the internet weeks before.
And the advertisment side had very nearly become non existant.
Having said that, Bob has been a god send to our hobby and has given me, personally, years of knowledge and entertainment.
Oh! and he sold me my Karmann:d
