Ah,

Makes sense as I didn't think any VW prototypes survived the war? There aren't any around today anyway except some parts like the pan found in Germany...

BTW - I saw those Canada convertibles in Durham Ontario Canada also - real nice to see those rare cars around here!

Lastly, any idea when the country signage such as "D" for Deutschland started in Europe?
