I purchased a VW bonnet badge of a auction site. looking at the badge in the photo it seemed to be a four tab type that i want for my 59. I asked a question about the fitting and got the reply of it has three pins that fit through the bonnet. Arrrr well but it dose look like a pressed alloy one i thourght so put in a bid for it and this is what came in the post. I never knew of this badge type. I have had a couple of them and both came from KK .it just gives you the option of using the badge on a later or repro bonnet .As you found the adaptor comes off and you can use it on a 4 tab .i would guess its a west coast metric item .
