Any lead for 1964 Convertible Vin Numbers?

I found it 1964, but how to make sure it's related to Convertible Vin Numbers not a sedan, because some one told me it's a sedan Chassis with Convertible Body.
He might be write, but how to tell right from wrong?
Thanks in advance

In 1965 VW changed their cabrio chassis number format, the sedan started with 115 and the cabrio started 155 (1966 then moved to 116 and 156) but for a '64 cabrio I don't know how you tell the difference between a sedan and cabrio chassis...

Just ask VW for a birthcertificate!
Than you will know if the numbers on your chassis were used for a sedan ..... or ..... cabriolet!!!
