Tonight, I found some of my old photos from when I were a lad, so I scanned a few of them in. Most of them were my cars, but there's a few others thrown in for good measure and a couple of old show pics..

151MMP. Very early 'big window' '58 RHD UK car (originally Agave Green). This had more history with it than any other car I have ever owned. A couple of years before I got my hands on it, somebody acquired it from the original owner, lowered it and painted it Bahama Blue. Really nice car though...

Peppercorn 1996. Owen selling two Swedish Splits, one a sunroof car. I drooled over this, but in my wildest dreams I could have never afforded the asking price (which was about £5000). Those were the days!...

Hi Kev,

I don't think the spilt is Omar's, I think his was green when he bought it (but I could be wrong).

The double heater channels were an accessory for cold climates. It was an extra, smaller channel that mounted on top of the heater channel and ducted more heat up the screen (from what I can remember). I will see if I took any detailed pics. There was a thread on thesamba about it years ago, but I can't find the thread now.

Thanks Rich. The photos really brought back some memories.

The line up at Peppercorn was one of the Hampshire VW Owners clubs finest moments. We travelled in convoy.

The brown split was owned by Laurence Downer and the green oval is the car that Mike Tudor recently put a sunroof in and changed the colour to brown. Next is Robin Allens split then Mike Webbers split then Roger Pascoes oval then Dave Cantles split and lastly Martin Jewells Cabrio.

I think thats correct......................memory plays tricks you know.
