yesterday, I started disassembling the standard.

Took out the VERY nice interior: look at this, in stunning condition (only 1 small rip in the back seat)

Removed mats and interior panels. It's gonna be a big resto, lots of work but she's soooo much worth it 🙂 This oval will be restored with the highest level of detail!

Oooh, I already scored a perfect W-deklid!

I already collected many parts to complete this resto.

engine-lid
2 doors(1 NOS)
1 rear fender
1 complete oval front (A-pillars included) ... Without work / rust!

Just a question for you all

Are these the correct front fenders for my oval?
I want a car that's 100% correct, in every detail,

I guess so, 'cause the fenders have the same colour as the body (underneath the 2nd layer paint)

I want a perfect restoration for my 53 standard,

so I'm looking for complete rear quarter panels. (the previous welder made a mess of it! 😞 )

Now, i want to know what the difference is between rear quarter panels of a late and an early oval.

The support?? or the edge where the bolts are in?

I want to know the exact difference...

Thank you!
