Hello, this is my first post so be kind.

My neighbour is in the process of restoring a 1956 VW beetle with a friend. The received the car in parts and are in the process of doing the internals. They are not sure all the parts are the originals.

He is currently on the wiper motor and is unsure of the voltage. The only marks present are 31 53A stamped on the cable attachment part. I was hoping someone may be able to help or point me in the right direction!

Thanks for looking. The battery cage is apparently for a 12v so he's gonna go for that. He's lost one of the bolts to a cure a wiper so that's his next task!
