In the 1970s, a few Hebmüller were modified. Former owners sister or ot the Hambuirg Heb had also a modified Hebmüller. I remember a telephone call in the early 1990s, when she asked me, if I would by her car. I surched for old spare parts in our local newspaper and she asked me, If I even would buy complete cares. The car was a 1952 Hebmüller, she bought it in 1964 in Hamburg and during the years, the car changed more and more into a modern beetle. Painted in metall-flake-green, with "elephant-feed"-Teillights and 1975 bumpers, the car loocked very intersting. In 1982, she had a badly crash and decidet to resaure it in its original condition. In reason of an old Auston Martin DB in her Garage, she sold the car. I have no idea, why I didn't bouhgt it - the price was round about 5.000 Euro. I offered the car to my friend Joszy from Amsterdam, but during the same time, I have heard about a rare 1952 Dannenhauer, so even Joszy didn't bought it.
Another modified Hebmüller is the "Dauth-Hebmüller" Mr. Dauth (?) was very interested in a Habmüller - but these cars were gone of the marked. In the end 1970s, he found a 1949 Hebmüller, today, a nice project, in the 1970s only a wreck. So he bought a 1969 convertible and modified it into a hebmüller. The "Gute Fahrt"-magazine published an article of this car in the early 1980s and Mr. Hebmüller was so amused about this car and certifieted it as an originale child of Hebmüller.
The car was sold in the early 1990s to a Volkswagen-Collector of Braunschweig, who still has it in his collection. 7437.jpg You have insufficient rights to see the content.
