Do you want it to look like an all original Heb?
Have you gathered some info of this car? I am still looking for measurements and pictures of original ones...

The body of the Hebster is going to become as close as possible to Hebmüllers prototype number one. Tecknically it will be more like a resto-custom or even a "HotRod VW". It is based on the remains of a split -52 wreck. ( will be registered as a 1952 model)

I have searched for pictures in books, on the internet and even been in contact with Yan Rami who has had the honour to archive ”The Hebmüller Bible” (lots of Hebmüller info’s and original pictures)

He also is the author for TheHebRegistry

Here is two pictures of the body Number One:

I've got a few more photocopies that Yan have sent me, but I promised Yan not to publish them.

Here is body number 2:

The main difference between number 1 and 2 is the hubcaps and the lowers on the rear decklid. Number 1 have 4 on each side and number three have 5. Number one had hubcaps with big VW logo (Pre-49 model) They were both black.
The body number three was exactly the same as number 2 except that it was painted grey and had a cromed popes nose and stock hubcaps(small VW logo(
Number 2 had some special hubcaps, only seen on one other car.

Oh, and number one had theoval rearview mirror on the dashpanel, when the number 2 and 3 had it above the windshield.

Hi folks, I am new here.

Car looks good, still needs a lot of work .
Why not make a copy from the RADCLIFF ROADSTER.
This car was for sure the car that was seen by Joseph Hebmuller and an example before he started the real thing.

I did consider the Radcliff roadster model too but I don't like the shape of the louvers on the decklid. The Heb number 1 with the pope's nose decklid looks better in my opinion...
