Here is my complete Okrasa kit, just got it back and will be rebuilding it this week, for those who do not know the kit was availible in the 1950s - 60s before the 1500cc came in. it increases the cc and hp of the standard engine. The kit was supplied with twin port heads, twin carbs and a 69mm crank, i have added rare big bore barrels and pistons increasing it from 1200cc to 1485cc.

Complete kit

A very very nice kit you have there. Correctly put together it will make a very strong engine.
I may have some advice to give you if you want. (I have built 2 Okrasa engines, one 1400cc with 64 hp and one 1620cc with 81 hp)
I think you should have a more tight fit on the head cover to the manilfods, a lot of cooling air will come out there.
I would not build an engine with the round copper cooler that you put on the fan shroud, it will pre heat the cooling air, not so good I think. I would put my money on an original Behr oilcooler instead, It looks like an original but have more cooling surface.
What valve spring do you use? bee carefull with high preassure springs on an reground camshaft (been there, done that  ) This engines dont reevs so high so they dont need so much springpreassure, I have original 30 hp springs now on my 1620 without any valve float.
I think venturi in the carbs shoul bee something like 26 mm.
Bee sure to use the correct bearings for the spg crank.
This is just my 2 cents...
Good luck, nice work you have ahead of you putting this together.

Cheers mate, what's your e mail or mine is [email protected], as if you do not mind i may need to speak to you in teh next week or so? will buy you a beer at Camberg if your going.

yep know about the bearings, am sorting that out.

I was thinking the same thing about the cooler, i'm not going to spank it so i hope it will not run that hot, i have a link to a oil filter already so may use that.

Go Speed Racer, Go!
That should be a real nice motor.

I have seen an old bit of advertising for Okrasa, featuring a single carb setup on their own manifold. Anyone seen one of these?

Here. I guess I should have said "appearing to show..."
Deffo a single carb manifold though.

(Edit) The text talks about retaining the single carb on their special manifold, but changing the jetting.

How mad is this set up, look at the ducting on the back of the heads to get the air flow through, and that mad manifold.

Never seen that before, do you mind if i keep the pictures?

Not sure if this kit went into production, as i have never seen one and, i'm sure i would have come across one in Germany at Camberg or Hessisch.

cheers

Maybe - and its just a guess - the preheat pipes burned up quicker than normal and they all got chucked away. Or they just weren't popular.

Certainly a funny looking beast.
