Hi Zwitter, I've always been interested in military VW's, and found this while surfing the net looking for evidence of Kombis being used by the RAF...

Magirus Deutz 3 ton trucks, a Volkswagen Beetle (for the boss), Volkswagen Combi, a motor-bike for film carrying at speed from the squadron. As with the trailers, all vehicles were new. It was now the job of the writer to order all the trimmings, i.e. furniture and items needed to run the unit."

There are some large B/W shots of the Beetle as well, they are large though, so better to follow the links in the site rather than post here. Frustratingling I can find none of the Kombi though! :x
