Sweet as ever. 😎

Those plates are the same as mine, and they do look great.

Took my drivers seat to Dave at Spirit of 50's today. Asked him to do work along same lines as yours, i.e. unpicking stitching, repairing only where needed and keeping as much originality as poss. Long old trip from Watford and back

How did you guess that the black film peeled off? Car's looking very good. Engine looks factory! Just paint the engine lid hinge bolts, then no will know its been off:smile:

Yer dave at spirit is awesome. He even has all the presses to do proper heat seams in the basket weave. Oh and he's very reasonable.

Most readily available plates are the vinyl sticker ones that peel off. That's why it's taken me a fair few years to find someone who does the thicker ali ones that are hand painted for reasonable money.

Car's looking cool. I'm a tyre freak so take particular interest in them. Cross ply's look OE but lets hope it doesn't rain:omg: :omg: Radials were available in the 60's you know. I have Michelin XAS 165's on my 65 and all I can say is that it's very good in the wet  P1000425.JPG You have insufficient rights to see the content.  P1000426.JPG You have insufficient rights to see the content.
