The main town in that part of suffolk is Sudbury its only a five minuite drive from lavenham. There are plenty of places to stay there. Also try searching for b+bs in Great Waldingfield, Little Waldingfield (2 mins from Lavenham)
Im only a 20 min drive from Lavenham, and im fairly familiar with the area (have a regular customer there). So if any of you need any help finding stuff out i should be able to help.
I know a farmer in the village he has a field which he offers as a holiday caravan site(dont think he advertises), about 1.5 acre usually only 3-4 people staying there on holiday at any one time, so its not like a commercial static caravan place with screaming kids and depressed teenagers, and comunal showers...its literally just a field!!. i could contact him to book the field for the weekend...if enough people were interested. (i think there is a toilet block)
this may be a good idea if you dont mind a tent for the night, as Lavenham is a small place you may well find a hotel to stay in but good luck finding a parking space. at least youd sleep safe in the knowledge you baby is parked next to your head.
let me know what you guys think
