Whitehouse's photo is fantastic!

What a great first post on the forum, cool reflections on the cars.

I decided that Jools had a bit of an unfair advantage being a 'published' photographer, but his prototype photo is awesome:

So I'm giving away a 3rd calendar to him anyway. 😃

So, it's a Double Win for the Ovals then, Whitehouse will be pleased!!

Well done to Peter Plade and Whitehouse for submitting really nice pictures.

I think you made good choices there Rob, and interesting that neither of the choosen pictures are in colour, but they both work really well.

And as for the surprise 3rd calendar.... Thank you very much, I can't wait to see it!

Finally the wait is over and the 'Pre67vw' jiffy bag arrived with the postman today!

Thanks Rob, Rawdyn... it's fantastic!

I particularly like the shot through the Samba sunroof and the Pick-up in the sand pit, also the Panel in the tunnel.

Glad you liked the 2008 calendar.

Sorry I have not had a chance to send some more for this year's comp yet but I have only recently gotten out of hospital after some back surgery.

Rob, if you shoot me your address I'll send a few over.

P.S, The shot through the sunroof was not a fake in the way you think. There were buildings on the right that I edited out but the left of the shot is original. Two things affect blur. Distance and direction. The further away from the camera the less blur and similarly the closer to the direction of travel the less blur. I also edited myself out and Mr January from the front left windscreen.

We did add some depth of field/blur to a few of the shots too.

Hi Rob,

Your calendars hit the mail today.

Yes I am getting better every day. I had an artificial disc put in my back. Pretty amazing stuff really. They had me up and marching on the spot the day after surgery.

Anyway, hope you enjoy this years edition.
