Wrong. Any more stupid cutesy icons you'd like to use?

And how exactly did you 'challenge' Richard Porter, anyway?

That's odd, looking back, it seems that Ovaltine posted regularly right from joining, without a break – (insulting me on his first post; whereas its taken you 165 posts to manage it) – right through until being banned last week.

I myself stayed off these forums for around 3 months – I'd got tired of Ovaltine and another pre67vw idiot. I'd thought we'd now got rid of them all now – it apparently seems not.

And the rest of The Samba isn't?

You ask a question about something very specific, it gets locked, and you are linked to a thread where once, five years ago, someone mentioned something with some slight relation to your problem.

I've found this a fair bit in the 'Old speed' section a fair bit. Not at all a snide comment about you at all, I know your a 'mod' on there, I think?

I understand keeping things 'tidy', but questions and information is so easily lost when it is all crammed into a 500 page long thread.

It's what I like about this place, and dare I say it, VZi. Not a lot of 'trimming' and locking happens.

Not to get too far off topic...I think because it doesn't happen a lot here it might look excessive to you.

If I lock topics I always post a link to another pertinent topic related to the question. It will often bring quicker results to post in the old topic as all those who took part in the original discussion get an email about subsequent postings.

Quite often regulars will PM moderators to bring oft repeated topics to their attention with links to other similar topics. It's seen as more effective to gather information on a subject under one topic (no matter how long)as each topic has a search box at the top of each page to search for keywords within it.

It can be very annoying to have the same questions and answers repeated ad nausium. If you disagree with a locking PM the Mod...it's not set in stone.

The comment about the KG Forum was a joke...I Mod that as well.
