yes, the winter is slow coming and the time of enjoying my heb is getting smaller and smaller...so next step in winter will be the repair of my big plasma flatscreen 50inch rear window :-)

i will replace the middle part of my roof, it is for sure no restauration, only a qualitative good repair to keep the car as it is, with rigth parts on right places...

at the moment, i have from pascal the window  and in former times i got from guido  the inner metal frame and seal, and from thomas t the rear wooden frame.

UserPostedImage

all i need at the moment is the right place for instalation (mesurements / position) and some pictures how the frame is fixed between the wooden roof parts ( as i know some straps up and down)...

so if someone can help me out with the measurements that would be cool and helpfull to get the rigth window in No 455!

I tried to meassure it! It was not easy!!! Beside that I am sitting in a wheel chair I underwent last week an operation to my elbow!!! It hurts very much ....................... when I have a laugh!!!
So to be sure you better ask another Heb owner to check!!
Maybe my window is placed to high or to low but I meassure a of +/- 215-220mm between the lowest side of the windowseal and the END of the roof!!! There were the roof comes out under the aluminium moulding!

 ET

Please ask also somebody else because I don't like to be the man to be blamed if the back window of Heb455 is mounted wrong, ok Andy?

thanks et for the dates... i will crosscheck it for sure 🙂 but some owners i know do have also the flatscreen big rearwindow mounted... so the question is: "is your window true a hebmüller window, because mine had a bigger in"

as i mentioned, i do not start a complete roof resto, i will only replace the part with the window, and if the window will sit after 5cm to low or to high...who cares... the top must go down and up.. nothing more :-)

if someone ask me... i will answer: " ET said..." 😛

Hallo Andy,

Andy, you should turn the middle section.
The big window can then become a sunroof????
