I've known about those cars for years. They were all owned by a famous Australian collector called Graham Lees. The 47 was purchased from Richard Cotton in the UK in about 1988, the 46 came from Maurice Seddon (also in the UK) and the 45 was found on Tasmania in the 1970s. All BIG projects and they have been for sale for years.

So let me get my head around this one. Guy desperately seeks '40's Beetle knows where three have been for sale "for years". And is still looking. Ummmm! p.s what are they going for Rich? I bet there is a forties beetle somewhere you don't know about. But i'm not putting money on that.

Just wish I had bought the '47 from Mr.Cotton when he sold it in 1988 for £3k. I'm sure there is at least one 40s car I haven't yet discovered, but probably only one!
