The wife bought this 66 1300 last week. Unfortunately the passenger seat had some minor wear and I dont seem to be able to find the correct type of replacement upholstery for it? Anyone got any clues? They look like the same seats as my cabrio, I had mine re-upholstered to the nearest match I could find - but since then I think TMI have started doing covers.

Your best bet might be to find a used seat and get someone to unstitch the base and stitch it into your seat base. :wink: Very nice car BTW, looks beautiful! 8) Oh, and you also need to find a passenger armrest. :wink:

Suppose being a cabrio it may be different? I dont know much about cabrios but would one from the 60s have the same holes in the back of the front backrests like on an oval era car?

[/quote] Nope, not on mine. The originals of mine had a vinyl back seat that was salt and pepper to match the cloth fronts, which I thought was an odd thing to do. It is possible to request the original registry numbers to vintage cars in Finland if they have not been used to an other car since it was unregistered. Nice pics, very nice car! :d I would insert a piece of fabric in the hole and just darn it up rather than change the cover as I dont think you will never find that material in better condition than that! :shock: and your interior looks lovely.

I would personally also just patch the seat (if I could find a piece of the same fabric...) but I'm not sure that it is approved by the Vintage inspections I have planned to do on this one. The Finnish Vintage car inspections are very nitpicking of any faults or even scratches etc... "The cars must be as good as new and just like they left the factory." Which in my point of view is sort of wrong as there are a lot of nice looking nonrestored old cars that IMO would be a shame to have to restore before they would pass the Vintage inspections...[-x

When I got it inside I first started ot with straightening out the lefthand front fender as it had a severe bend from the turnlight down to the wheel arch. Next step was to drop the engine as it had been smoking blue all summer. With the doghouse shroud I could use the type-3 oilcooler and mount the pressure sender on the cooler instead. I also made me a tool so I could easily replace the jolting upper hingepin. Added a 20mm spacer under both carbs and now also welded the necks for the aircleaners so they clear from the fanshroud and still fit inside the enginebay. Just have to make the linkage now and then testrun it. [IMG]https://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f98/Hebster52/The%2066/DSC_3016.jpg[/IMG]

The manifolds are stock type-3 dualport manifolds. (The base engine is a 1600 dualport type-3 with 88mm slip-in's)

Removed the frontseats and started dismantling the small parts in the dash etc. prior to repaint. Had to peak under the floormats to check the floorpans too.. Needed the spacers to lift the carbs some to make room for the sparkplug cables as the accelerator arms etc. hit the cables. Also with the spacers I didn't need to make the neck on the 30hp aircleaners 10cm long to fit the original fanshroud. Had to be able to turn the aircleaners backwards. (forward of the vehicle) Otherwise the aircleaners would be to wide to fit the enginebay. If I would have used a narrower 30hp fanshroud I could have managed without the spacers and also make the now 45mm long necks even shorter too.

Sanded off the spraycan Seesand off the fender and also paintstripped the area where I had hammered out a big dent. I think I did get the dent out pretty good. Wow! What a difference! Didn't first recognize the frontpage here.. :D Mostly just been driving the bug this summer since the annual inspection was done. Ok. Now the winter seems to be giving in over here too so the past month I have spent on tracking some 12V parts prior to a 6V -> 12V conversion. Found a smallbody 12V generator so I can keep as much stock look as possible in the enginebay. Unfortunately I couldn't find a 12V regulator that have the same body as the 6V. I know for a fact that Porsche Tractors have those... (My Super does..):wink: Today I gave the 30 PICT-1 an overhaul and replaced the acceleratorpump diaphrams etc. [img]https://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f98/Hebster52/The%2066/DSC_0707.jpg[/img] Also replaced the 125 mainjet with a 130 instead. Read in several placed that the 130 in the 30 PICT works well on 1600+ stock engines. Had to push the car out of the winterhibernation as it was too dark to see how to connect the turnsignal relay and headlight relay... :) The generator regulator location is maybe not the most optimal but I think the overall look still looks satisfying.. Here's a few photos from the past summer too.. :wink: Converted the car to 12V and instead of using resistors or similar for the wipermotor I took a volvo 245 rearwipermotor and replaced the rotor and magneto from that to the original -66 wipermotor. Hi! Long time but now here again! In august 2018 I started this mod. Changed the spindles from lowering spindles to the type-181 spindles.
